Conviently situated a few kilometers from the Equestrian town of Fontainebleau, and the A6 and A5 motorways, the Haras des Pommiers is a stud specialising in the breeding of Shetland and Sport Ponies. We also provide a small number of liveries, including short term stabling for horses and ponies competing at the nearby (11km) Fontainebleau equestrian park (Grand Parquet)

Archer has very elegant paces. He is gentle and kind with children and gets on well with our other ponies, shetlands and other animals. He is well handled and good with the blacksmith. He is suitable for all disciplines and has a wonderful extended trot.Castration is planned for spring 2012.

Robinhood needs to get out competing on a regular basis to gain experience. He has superb potential and can easily jump 1m40. This pony will do fantasically well with a competent, confident rider. If he is loaned he will remain a stallion.

We are able to offer a few of our stables for long term or short term livery. Haras des Pommiers is situated in quiet countryside with easy access to bridleways and public paths for hacking out. We are a small establishment, priding ourselves on cleanliness and giving individual attention to the horses and ponies in our care. Depending on availability, there is a possibility to use a small arena (on request).
The livery includes turnout every day, either in individual paddock or with other ponies. Prices are from €180 incl.tax per month for a pony sharing, €220 for a large pony/small horse in an individual box, €250 for a horse, and €300 for a large/heavy horse. These prices include straw bedding, or wood pellet bedding on rubber matting, Spillers feed and hay is given twice daily (horses on rubber matting can receive additional straw in the evening if required). We have a of video surveillance system, which also allows our clients to view their horses online via the internet or a smart phone.
Ad-hoc Short Term Livery
We also provide ad-hoc, short duration livery. We are only 11 km (7 miles) from the Fontainebleau international equestrian park (Grand Parquet) and so are particularly well located for arriving and departing international competitors. In addition our proximity to the main A6(10km) and A5(22km) motorways (autoroutes) is convenient for long journey stop-overs. Please contact us for prices and availability. Categorised ‘First Class’ at the Shetland Stallion Classification at Haras du Pin in March 2009.
Robin is a fantastic little sporty pony, with a great temperament, lots of style and super movement. He is ‘Standard’ size, measuring 106.5cm and grey/roan in colour. Robin competed for the first time last summer and had great success, 1st Senior Male at Aurouer, 2nd at Solognpony, 2nd at Lignieres en Berry in a very impressive line up and 5th at the French National Championships. Robin was broken to ride last summer by our daughter Elyssia and we are extremely proud of his progress. He qualified “Qualifee” at Solognpony for the ‘Tests de Loisirs’ a course of challenges to assess a ponies suitablility/calm nature to obtain an independant and secure exterior mount. Robin competed at his first jumping competition at the SHN in Fontainebleau in January 2012 with my daughter Rhianna, where they achieved a super clear round, well done to the couple. Robin currently has 2 filly foals, April Seven 2010 (by Kiss Me) and Butterfly des Pommiers 2011 by our Mini des Pommiers (currently in foal to Robin and due in March), both foals are very sweet natured, extremely sporty and agile, they love children, are well handled, vaccinated, and easy with the blacksmith.

Available for stud this year (2011), Robinhood currently measures 1m40 and is dark bay/black in colour. Robinhood is a fantastic young pony, showing great potential at jumping and in dressage. He has started to compete with Elyssia in C3Ponam and Rhianna (who is only 8 years old) in Club jumping competitions.
